Life Long Learning
Anyone who knows me understands that I am clearly a lifelong learner to the max! My joy has always been reading and accumulating knowledge, especially applied leaning for my work in therapy. And I’ve done this traditionally within the confines of formal university curricula. I have to admit that part of that is acknowledging my ADHD and the need to have the focus placed on me when I have external demands and deadlines. And ever since Covid I have really relished the graduate courses that I have taken online with ‘PESI’ (‘Professional Eduction System Institute’). This is a ‘go to’ system of courses for people in my field of psychotherapy. Through the system I have become certified in the treatment of anxiety disorders and trauma. I continue to learn through these courses and have come to apply them directly and immediately to some of the clients that I am seeing. Many clients are struggling with the legacy and impact of their PTSD. I will continue to learn with joy and apply my learning in real life situations. I am grateful for these opportunities. I will not stop!
